As many here have pointed out, you can love the art but not the artist. That is easy when the artist is an historical figure. What about contemporary artists? I've brought this up with my teens. What does it mean when our time, energy, and money are supporting someone who is doing illegal or immoral activities? Where does responsibility for enabling bad behavior start?
