Can You Ignore the Call To Write?
I got my first taste of the thrill of writing when I was in the 3rd grade. Our class was put into small groups consisting of writers and actors. I was a writer. I wrote a script and my words meant I got to control the action. I remember one of my classmates refusing to say that a cow was “pregnant,” because it was too embarrassing. I finally agreed he could say the cow was “going to have a baby.” Ah, the power of words.
