How wonderful of you to take the cat you thought would have the hardest time finding a home. We adopted a 2-year-old set of brothers once for partly the same reason. The shelter wanted them to be adopted together (they had been abandoned and left in a garage when the people moved) and since they were already adult cats, weren't getting noticed much among the playful kittens.

I am happy to be reading your stories in reverse order and see that some slow progress is being made. I know how hard this is - worried about your current baby and wanting the new guy to feel relaxed and at home. Good luck!
