I'll add my voice and say you were not wrong to pull it. Two editors playing games with your writing is at least one editor too many. Sure, the first may have had useful suggestions, but one or two interactions should be enough to correct any minor issues. Beyond that is really too much, especially on a platform that seems to reward us for quantity.
